About Bovine Leather
It will not surprise anyone that the largest leather offer is bovine leather. Cow, bull, buffalo. With that you already know a bit more about the size of the skins. yet it can still vary reasonably depending on where the cattle come from. The South American cattle are generally smaller in size. In Europe we find excellent quality skins in Germany, Switzerland, Scandinavia, but also in France, England and the Netherlands. The climate and the environment in which the cattle grow up have an important effect on the final quality of the skin.
The basic material, the skins, is important, but of course the tanning also plays a major role.
We have a large and varied range of cow leather. From nappa to suede, from nubuck to printed and finished cow leather. See below for some of the most requested items. If what you are looking for is not listed, please contact us. We can certainly help you further.
The finish with the nubuck leather remains fascinating. The grain layer of the leather is shaven to create a soft, sometimes even velvety, soft touch on the leather.
This is a fairly stiff, smoothly finished, cow leather which is used for leather goods and orthopedics. The thicker, the more solid the article becomes. It is quite strong and resistant.
